Monthly Update - Month Thirty
Oct 29, 2008
Thomas is now 2 1/2 years old, and I can’t believe how much he’s grown up since his second birthday. It’s now possible to have conversations with him and he remembers things for months and months. Everything goes in, and there’s no telling when it’s going to come out!
Thomas loves having jobs to do, he sets the table for us everynight and turns the timer off on the cooker. He now tidies away his toys, if asked of course! If one of us does something that he thinks is his job he says “NO! That’s Thomas’ job!”. This month Thomas and I made humous sandwiches, with Tom amking the humous from scratch in the food processor. He loved making it and cutting the shapes out of bread. It’s lovely that he’s at an age where we can actually do things with him!
We had a day out in Pickering earlier this month to see the trains and Sir Nigel Greseley was running, Tom was thrilled to see him and got very excited. He now says that “Nigel Greseley” is his favourite and can recognise him from models and pictures. He’s still crazy about trains, he now has 4 different types of train set, and lots and lots of engines.
Today was a very special day as Thomas started nursery, which means he has to wear a uniform, which is the cutest thing in the world! I think he enjoys it, he certainly gets plenty to do and lots of different activities.
commentThe kitchen is very nearly finished:
We just need to level the floor, move in the oven, lay the floor, paint the walls… and the ceiling!
